Hi there, Honda owners. Today, on your 2023 Honda Odyssey, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's four-pole flat trailer connector vehicle wiring harness. And this is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. You'll just store in the little compartment over here in the back. And when you're ready to use it, you'll drape it down out the back and it'll just kind of hang down here. It'll pinch between the weather stripping here at the back of the vehicle and that's gonna be fine. That'll hold it in place. It's not gonna cause any damage to it. Just make sure you avoid the striker there in the middle. Our connector end is a four flat, which will give us all the necessary lighting signals to operate our unit. That'll include your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, so that you could be DOT compliant in all states. What I like about this harness is that it plugs directly into our vehicle. It is a custom fit harness. So that way, it makes it for an easy installation. This is a harness you can install in about 15 to 20 minutes so it's one of the easiest harnesses out there to install. And another thing I like about it is that it does have its own module. So, when it goes to send the signals here to the four flat, the module's actually producing those signals. Has its own dedicated power circuit with its own dedicated fuse. And so, when it produces those signals, if you have any faults on your trailer, the module, if it has the opportunity, they'll shut it down. If it has, it can do it in time. In the event it's unable to shut it down in time though, the dedicated fuse would just open. You could then repair your trailer, replace the fuse, and you're back up and running without affecting any of the lights here on our vehicle. The included dust cap can be useful if maybe you're moving around a couple of trailers or maybe going to pick something up, dropping stuff off, and you don't wanna keep putting it in and out. You can cover it up to keep it from getting dirt and debris in it and moisture as well when it's outside and also when it's inside. But when it's inside, it's stored in a location where it's safe from those elements. And you can also use it to secure it to your hitch here. Just wrap it around your safety chain loop and clip it in place and that'll hold it on. We'll go ahead and begin our installation here at the back of the vehicle. Go ahead and open up your lift gate and we want to concern ourself with the panel located right there. There's a little groove here at the bottom and you can put your finger in it and you just pull outward to remove the panel. We'll be using our factory fuse here and your connector for your wiring to install is located right there. So, you can go ahead and grab your harness, take the connector in there that'll match right up with it, and we'll just plug the two together. Just gotta make sure you line them up and it'll click right in there. We also have a ground wire here that we'll need to install. And we're just gonna screw that right into the paneling here. We'll probably put it a little bit lower down there on the lower side just cause we can see that there's a little bit of a gap between this brace and the wall behind it. So this way, then we would know our self tapper's not gonna go into like two pieces of metal and wanna stop. So, we'll just kind of run it in right there. You'll get the screw in your kit and we'll just run it right in. Take our fastener, push it through. Move our wiring out of our way over there and we're just gonna run it right in. I have to peel back some of that part of the white wire a little bit just to get a decent angle. And there we go. Just make sure that the ring terminal there doesn't rotate so it's nice and secure, and you've got a good ground now. So, you also get a bunch of fuses in your kit. The 10, we'll set that one aside. That goes into our harness. The pink fuse that we've got here is gonna install right here at this square hole at the top on the right if you're looking straight at the panel. So, just grab that one and push it into place. And then in the bottom left down here, the two lower bottom left ones, we'll use the smaller 7.5 amp fuses. So, those will just push in there as well. We can now take our 10 amp fuse and install that into our harness. Just kinda line them up and then push th
