Joining a MUAY THAI Gym? Watch This First

In this video I am sharing 5 tips (plus an extra tip) that I would give people if they were to join a Muay Thai gym (or any combat sport gym) for the first time. ELABORATING ON SOME TIPS. 1. Have a clear goal in mind so you can have a GOAL, something to aim, to have a purpose. This also helps to know what gym will help you achieve those goals the fastest. 2. Do not chose the wrong gym, whether all of them teach Muay Thai, they have different gym cultures and therefore choosing the wrong one might ruin your entire experience. 3. Contact your gym and see if they offer a trial session. Ensure that the gym you are going to is THE one for you. This ensures you don't commit to the wrong gym (some gyms might have long term contracts you have to sign before joining) 4. Only buy expensive gear if you see yourself committing to the sport, if you're unsure buy cheaper gear first. Expensive gear will last longer but no point if you're only staying for 3 weeks. 5. If you're not open to learn then you should not be joining a gym, it will limit your learning, this also might impact your instructors attitude towards you. Instructors are likely to help you more if you are open to learn (being easy to coach), if you are closed minded or not bothered to learn then your coach might not spend as much time on you. EXTRA TIP. Measure your progress but ensure that it is not often. If you compare yourself to you from yesterday you won't see much improvements compared to doing it every month or two. This could impact your motivation which could lead to you leaving the gym, potentially leaving an amazing journey behind. be patient!. #muaythai #thaiboxing #martialarts #vlogs #thailand
