Prism Works produced a 4K remastered film through a series of processes, including film scanning and restoration. Plot: Dr. Shin Sung-min (Namgoong Won), a medical doctor, is enraged when he learns that his daughter Jin-sook has been murdered by a mentally ill man while his wife, Hwa-ja (Kim Young-ae), and ophthalmologist Park Dong-won (Han Jin-hee) are together. The killer, Heo Dal, commits suicide, overcome by guilt for killing Jin-sook and leaving his daughter behind. Seong-min takes Heo Dal's daughter, an adopted child, from Eugene's orphanage and raises her. Seeking revenge, Seong-min forces Hwa-ja to raise the adopted child. Upon learning of this, Hwa-ja begins abusing the adopted child (Won Mi-kyung). Seong-min's son, Cheol (Jung Han-yong), falls in love with the adopted child. Cheol's friend, Young-ha (Lee Young-ha), is in love with Adoptive. Cheol is troubled by this, but Hwa-ja interferes with Adoptive's love, and Seong-min belatedly falls in love with Soo-jin.
