Exploring the percussion in Lou Harrison's Song of Quetzalcoatl
Our percussion section had a chance to shine in our recent live streamed concert on Medici TV (available on demand for subscribers until 21 June 2021: https://www.medici.tv/en/concerts/sir.... In this video, which was originally shown during the interval of the concert, conductor Sir Simon Rattle and the LSO percussion section walk through the instruments and items for which Lou Harrison wrote in his work Song of Quetzalcoatl - pretty much everything except the kitchen sink!
