Underglaze sgraffito on a ceramic cup | pottery process
In this video, I decorate a wheel thrown ceramic cup using the underglaze sgraffito technique. I mix ceramic stains and frit to create underglaze colors, carve a freehand botanical design, and share the process step by step. Underglaze recipe: • 70% ceramic stain (or metal oxide) • 30% frit • Water as needed For small batches: • 3.5 g stain • 1.5 g frit • Water as needed You can also replace the water with a CMC solution for better flow and adhesion. ___________ Thanks for being here and supporting handmade creation.
