The Piazza Navona is one of those spectacular places in Rome that you should see at least once in a lifetime. Its history goes back almost 2000 years, and in this video I try to tell you the best parts of it. From the time Emperor Domitian built a sports arena there, to the days they used to flood the place just for fun. It is a story that involves emperors, popes and a series of artists. But of course, the most impressive part is the fountain at the centre of the piazza, built by Bernini and unveiled in 1651.
