Royal Springs & Peacock Springs

Rebecca and I recently took the kids to the Suwannee River area near Live Oak, FL to explore some of the many springs in the area. We had some weather to deal with, which is common this time of year. The sun came out long enough for us to find a couple of great spots though! Royal Springs was absolutely gorgeous! This was easily the bluest water I had ever seen. It was not as clear as it can be due to recent rainfall, which was a sign of things to come (stay tuned!). There was a jumping platform which was a ton of fun (Once we were brave enough to try it!). After a couple hours worth of fun at Royal Springs, we drove over to Peacock Springs. Equally beautiful, but very different from Royal. There are two swim areas, one of which was occupied by divers exploring the complex cave systems. The other area is the one we chose, and as it turns out, we had it all to ourselves!. It was a relatively small swim area, and we had to be careful not to stir up the silt too much, but there was plenty to see, including a couple of "cave" openings (too small to go into). After swimming and exploring for the day, we headed back to our AirBNB located right on the Suwannee River and spent the evening watching the sunset. Stay tuned for more videos from this trip to come! We hope you enjoy!
