Glue-up guitar top to body.
I'm using hot hide glue (HHG) for these builds, and if you've worked with it before, you know there's no time to waste once the glue goes on. To buy myself a few extra seconds, I pre-heated the mahogany before glue-up—yes, even the brush got warmed up! 🙂 I also sized both the maple and mahogany with a thin coat of HHG a few days earlier. That way, the fresh glue isn't soaking straight into raw wood during the final glue-up, giving me a little more working time. Since HHG sticks extremely well to itself, this works really nicely.
