Recipes featured in the episode: Pol’s Food Crispy Zucchini and Rice Pudding Ingredients • 2 cups milk • 1 egg • 1 tablespoon cornstarch • 1 package Pol’s Food Crispy Zucchini Rice Pudding • 4 tablespoons of the syrup/liquid part of the crispy zucchini package (for the pudding) Preparation 1. Combine milk, egg, and cornstarch in a saucepan and mix. 2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches a pudding consistency. 3. After removing from the heat, add 4 tablespoons of the liquid from the Pol’s Food zucchini part of the package and mix. Serving and Layering 1. Place the pudding at the bottom of the serving dish. 2. Place pieces of rice pudding on top. 3. Add pieces of the zucchini part. 4. Layer again by adding pudding. 5. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used up. 6. Place the zucchini mixture on top. 7. Let it rest in the refrigerator for a while. ********************************** Baked Chicken Doner Ingredients (for 4-6 people) For the Chicken • 1-1.2 kg boneless chicken thighs (breast can also be used, but thighs are juicier) • 2 large onions (for the base, cut in half) • 2-3 skewers or wooden skewers For the Sauce • 2 tablespoons Pol's Food tahini • 1 tablespoon tomato paste • 3 tablespoons olive oil • 1 teaspoon salt • 1 teaspoon red pepper powder • 1 teaspoon black pepper • 1 teaspoon thyme • 1 teaspoon cumin • 2 cloves grated garlic (optional) Instructions Preparing the Sauce 1. Mix Pol's Food tahini, tomato paste, and olive oil in a bowl. 2. Add salt and spices. 3. If the consistency is too thick, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of water. 4. Mix the chicken well with this sauce. 5. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2-4 hours). Assembling 1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. 2. Cut the onions in half and place them flat-side down. 3. Insert skewers vertically into the center of the onions. 4. Arrange the marinated chicken pieces on the skewers, pressing down firmly (to give it a döner shape). Cooking • Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top and bottom heat) for approximately 45-60 minutes. • Once the top starts to brown, you can turn on the fan setting for the last 10 minutes. • If it browns too quickly, you can lightly cover it with foil. • The internal temperature should be approximately 75°C (for fully cooked). Serving • Let it rest for 5-10 minutes after taking it out of the oven. • Slice thinly. • You can serve it with flatbread, rice, or sandwich bread.
