IOLANTHE: a fairy comic opera adapted for third and fourth grade

“Iolanthe, or The Peer and the Peri” was the first show (1882) to be premiered at London's newly opened Savoy Theatre, the first venue of its kind to be illuminated entirely by electric lighting. Nobody had ever seen anything like it. We tried to bring some of that wide-eyed sense of wonder to our little performance. Spring 2022. “Then away we go to Fairyland!”
