A: Just scroll past all of this Q: How many people worked on this? A: Just one :D Q: How long did this take? A: About a year and a half, roughly since this channel started but on and off so its really been less Q: Where have you been the past 6 months A: Making this, although I didn't plan for it to take this long, one month was intentional, the next month I couldn't work because my laptop's bios got corrupted (I love technology), but the rest was just me misjudging the size of this project, I'm sorry about that and I'll try to get my massively ambitious projects on time next time. Q: Will you be making any more soundtracks? A: Probably not, I'll definitely do some other unique stuff and random events but I don't see myself doing another full album recreation (at least for now). Q: What's next for this channel? A: Same stuff I usually do, weekly uploads will resume and it will be like I never took a 6 month break. Q: What is the plan for requests? A: I'm not immediately going back to taking and making requests, I would like to make some songs I like however requests will return. I had a couple people send me requests and I would like to get those done before I start taking some more. Q: What will happen when requests come back? A: I plan to make community posts periodically asking for them, I'll only pick a few but they won't necessarily the most popular or high tempo ones, every song will have a chance! Q&A MAY 12 UPDATE (answering questions I have received in the comments!) Q: What's the deal with the crazy tempos? A: It's a common trick in Mario Paint, used for placing fast or short notes, getting past note limits in older versions, and primarily for me, mixing. By placing certain instruments offbeat at high tempos and changing their volume, you can get a better sound than if each note was at the same volume. Q: What program are you using? A: This may come as a surprise to some, but there are different versions of Mario Paint, most people who make these covers aren't using the SNES version. The version I'm using is Super Mario Paint 1.4.3, a pc remake that adds a bass clef, several new instruments, accidentals (no really SNES Mario Paint didn't have any), and many other features. Q: How did you make this? A: I ripped all the midis from the game files (nintendo pls dont kill me), copied every note and added all the necessary effects. Q: Can I use this in my own videos? A: I don't have a problem with it as long as you give proper credit. Q: What are the blacked out notes and the X's? A: The blacked out notes are mutes, they stop an instrument from playing, there's also grayed out ones which only stop a single note. The X's are double sharps (1 full tone up), they're useful for mixing since you can stack them onto other notes making them louder.
