Trains of Wyoming's Powder River Basin--BNSF Orin Sub

This clip features a variety of action along BNSF's Orin Subdivision in Wyoming's Powder River Basin. These scenes are some of what was seen from 1.5 days spent there in July of 2021. A couple of intermodal trains and an empty wind turbine train add variety to the usual assortment of coal train. The action begins near the southern end of the line at Orin Jct where an empty coal train is spotted coming off the Casper Sub. I then move northward/westward hitting many locations up to Cordero Junction. Traffic certainly is much lower than it used to be out here, but it seems 2021 was a blip upward in coal loadings in the otherwise downward trend. Still, it is quite possible to get scenes with multiple trains in them. At one point, I caught 5 trains in one scene.
