POR QUE A GENTE TEM PENSAMENTOS ESTRANHOS ÀS VEZES? PENSAMENTOS INTRUSIVOS

Perhaps you've experienced this situation: you're in a high place, able to see everything meters and meters below, and suddenly a thought appears: "What if I jumped from up here?". I'm not talking about a desire to take your own life; it's simply the feeling of simulating in your mind what would happen if you jumped from that high place. There's even a French term for this sensation: "L'appel duvide," meaning "the call of the void." Similarly strange thoughts invade people's minds at various times: "What if I screamed right here while everyone is silent?", "What if I pushed this person?", "What if I made an obscene gesture?". Notice that it's not about the desire to do all these things, but rather an intrusive thought that, soon after it occurs, is strange to the person who had it, who can't imagine doing any of those things that suddenly appeared in their consciousness. Why do intrusive thoughts exist? Does everyone experience them? And perhaps more importantly: are they a cause for concern? So, stay tuned, because we're going to talk about all of that in today's video. Support this channel and get benefits: https://apoia.se/comoamentefunciona REFERENCES Adam, D. (2015).
