I Tried Claude Fable 5 on My Game Project (This is Insane)
I tested the brand new Claude Fable 5 — Anthropic's most powerful AI model ever released — on a real Godot 4 game project. One prompt. No manual coding. Full FPS game. In this video I show you the exact prompt I used, watch Fable build the entire thing in real time through Claude Code, and react to what actually came out — movement, combat, enemy AI, HUD, the whole thing. Is this the future of game development? You decide. ── PROMPT USED ── This is a Godot 4.6 project. Use GDScript only, no C#. The project.godot already exists. Create all scenes and scripts from scratch. After writing each major system, verify it compiles before moving to the next. You are an expert Godot 4 game developer. Build a complete first-person shooter game with as many working mechanics as possible. Prioritize functional, playable code over polish. Leave TODOs for anything you can't finish but architect the full system. Build the following systems in this order: *1. Core Movement* WASD movement with acceleration, deceleration, and friction Sprint, crouch, prone states with speed modifiers Smooth camera bob based on movement state Stamina system for sprint Slide mechanic on crouch while sprinting *2. Combat* 3 weapons: pistol, rifle, shotgun Each weapon has: fire rate, damage, spread, recoil pattern, magazine size, reload time Hitscan raycast firing Headshot multiplier (2x damage) Weapon sway and ADS with FOV shift Muzzle flash effect *3. Enemy AI* States: patrol, alert, chase, attack, search Line of sight and hearing detection Takes cover behind NavigationObstacle nodes Flanking behavior when outgunned Each enemy has health and a death state *4. Health & Damage* Player health with regeneration after 5 seconds out of combat Armor system that absorbs 30% of damage Hit direction indicator on HUD Death screen and respawn after 3 seconds *5. HUD* Ammo counter and magazine count Health bar, armor bar, stamina bar Dynamic crosshair that expands on movement and recoil Hit marker on successful hit Kill feed in top right corner *6. Level* A small playable arena using CSGBox nodes for geometry Cover objects the AI can use Player spawn point 5 enemy spawn points Pickups: ammo crate, health pack, armor shard After all systems are complete, wire everything together into a main scene that runs immediately on play. Make sure the player can spawn, move, shoot enemies, and win or lose. ── TOOLS USED ── Claude Fable 5 — claude.ai Claude Code Godot 4 ── TIMESTAMPS ── 0:00 - Intro 1:16 - Prompt Walkthrough 4:09 - Game Prompt Results 6:57 - Thoughts about the results 8:30 - Outro #ClaudeFable5 #GameDev #AI #Godot4 #ArtificialIntelligence #IndieGameDev #ClaudeAI
