The NEWEST Locker Room in College Hockey | BU Women's Hockey x Team Bauer

Boston University Athletics completed a major renovation for the women’s ice hockey program at Walter Brown Arena. The nine-month project, led by Commodore Builders and Perkins & Will, features a 2,740-square-foot locker room, a lounge and recovery area, an athletic training room, and a hydrotherapy space. The new locker room, nearly double the size of the previous one, includes 27 custom-built, ventilated lockers, an 86” smart TV, and Bluetooth audio. A nutrition area, study space, and lounge seating for recovery resources are also part of the upgrades. An internal stairway leads to a street locker room with custom lockers, charging stations, and a private shower and bathroom. The athletic training space was relocated for better access and includes convertible hot/cold tubs. The expanded team office suite features a conference area with arena-themed artwork. Additional improvements include a new coaches’ locker room, renovated visiting locker rooms, and a skate rental shop. A 360-degree Daktronics videoboard and full-color LED lighting system enhance the fan experience. The team officially returned to Walter Brown Arena on January 25 after playing at Agganis Arena in the fall.
