The storm was coming. I had one chance to build something that would keep me dry — so I built a dome. Using only bamboo, a clear waterproof tarp, and my bare hands, I constructed a fully enclosed dome shelter from scratch — right in the middle of the jungle. Then the storm hit. And I slept through every single minute of it. The dome design is one of the strongest primitive shelter shapes you can build in the wild. The curved structure deflects wind and rain from every angle, and the transparent cover lets in natural light while keeping everything inside completely dry — even in the heaviest downpour.
