Saloma (Malaysia/Singapore) Puan Sri Datin Amar Salmah binti Ismail, AMN better known as Saloma (22 January 1932 -- 25 April 1983) was a Singaporean-Malaysian film actress and singer. She was the third wife of the film actor, director, singer, and songwriter, Tan Sri P. Ramlee. Saloma was born on 22 January 1932 in Pasir Panjang, Singapore. She was married to P. Ramlee on November 1961. Saloma died on 25 April 1983 at Assunta Hospital, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. She was buried next to her husband grave, P. Ramlee at Jalan Ampang Muslim Cemetery, Kuala Lumpur. The Saloma Bistro & Theater Restaurant at Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur was set up in 2003. It was named for her contribution in the entertainment industry in Malaysia.
