This Asturian general was the mastermind behind the most decisive military operations of the Spanish Civil War. The fall of Bilbao, Santander, Asturias... it all bears his signature. Even German and Italian advisors acknowledged this in their secret reports: Vigón was the true architect of the Nationalist victory. And yet, he died in 1955 without monuments, without speeches, without recognition. Deliberately erased from official history by the very regime he had served with absolute loyalty.
