Today, he met with representatives of major US tech companies one after another and also announced an AI declaration. We will take a closer look at the details. [Anchor] The lineup of AI industry giant CEOs President Lee Jae-myung met with today is quite impressive. It ranges from Sam Altman of 'OpenAI' to Jensen Huang of Nvidia, who is familiar to us through the 'Kkanbu meeting.' Let's first take a look at the meetings between the Big Tech CEOs and President Lee. You just saw the meeting footage a moment ago. Big Tech CEOs have drawn attention by giving favorable reviews to Korea's AI programs and related policies. What was particularly impressive about your meeting with the Big Tech CEOs? [Kim Kwang-seok] What was impressive was that they have high expectations for the three major mega-projects our government is pursuing. They view it as a meaningful endeavor. Big Tech companies may be collaborating partners. They may be partners in partnership, but ultimately, they become investors in the three major mega-projects, and simultaneously, it becomes a business opportunity to make a lot of money through these projects. For NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, it is an opportunity to achieve significant collaboration, but at the same time, it creates a sales channel for selling GPUs in large quantities over the long term. They are establishing a structure for a win-win for everyone, and I felt that one fact clearly revealed here is that AI is just getting started. [Anchor] So, CEO Jensen Huang mentioned investment plans with domestic companies. What stood out particularly in terms of scale was the announcement of a $500 billion business partnership with SK Group. If you say 500 billion dollars, that is over 700 trillion won in Korean currency, right? [Kim Kwang-seok] It is a long-term project. 700 trillion won is roughly the annual government budget of our country. It is the national budget for the country's livelihood. In the case of the three major mega-projects, they planned how to build semiconductor factories, construct data centers, power grids, and establish living conditions over the next 10 years. Along with those projects, they stated they would actively cooperate with SK to carry out a new investment amounting to 500 billion dollars. Regarding this part, what kind of company is Nvidia? It is a company that makes GPUs. Then, what can a GPU transmit on its own? It cannot transmit anything. Do you make clothes or fish-shaped bread with a GPU? It cannot provide anything. What is needed? HBM is needed. The GPU and HBM must meet. However, the plan is to cooperate with SK Hynix, the world's number one company in HBM market share. When the two collaborate, it is currently impossible to supply HBM or GPUs due to a global shortage. There are an enormous number of companies requesting them, yet there is simply no volume available to supply. Consequently, prices are skyrocketing across the board for GPUs, HBM, DRAM, and NAND flash semiconductors. Since this is what drives our export growth and contributes to the growth of the Korean economy, considering this aspect, the intention is to actively invest with SK and provide the "rice" for the future through an investment of approximately $500 billion.
