Saddleworth Moor heath blaze (England) - ITV News - 25th June 2018

A short image of the huge plume of fire that blazed across Saddleworth Moor, in North West England. The smoke has been so bad, some of the information is almost staggering, as the this heatwave with little rain for weeks in this area (as well as further afield) takes hold. 1) Warnings have been placed for people not to leave their homes, as huge plumes of smoke cross villages and towns. 2) Thousands have sought medical advice, with breathing problems, coughs and even nose bleeds 3) Fire crews are determined to stop this fire, even though any moving, burning ash has the potential to spread and start fires elsewhere. 4) To get water to area, took five miles of hosepipe! 5)Just after this date, Northern Ireland has just been issued a 'hosepipe' ban 6) Water companies are worried as a third more water usage has occurred during this heatwave across the UK (more hosepipe bans are looming) 7) A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson (starting this fire) that has caused so much damage and disruption.
