Building Better Futures - New Castle's Next Gen School Improvement Grant Story

Discover how New Castle Community Schools expanded college and career pathways, significantly improved attendance while decreasing suspensions, and developed sustainable systems for accelerating learning. Awarded an Indiana Next Generation School Improvement Grant for $4.3 million, New Castle Middle School and New Castle High School worked with students, staff, families, industry partners, and community leaders. Together, they developed 16 new graduation pathways, offered a continuum of college and career exploration experiences, and implemented work-based learning opportunities.
