Why I Can't Buy Polene Anymore (and feel OK about it) | Storytime About My Recent Order

My favorite brand of purse has FALLEN from grace...ok obviously they're a brand and I didn't have them on an actual pedestal or anything (aside from them being on my shelves behind me in every video, which I guess is a kind of figurative pedestal...) but I did consider them a favorite, and this experience and observing others' experiences with terrible customer service has been hugely disappointing. One of my most viewed videos on this channel is my "objective review" of all the Polene bags I own, from 2024. I do still own and use all of those bags. It's really annoying because I want to continue to use and enjoy (and maybe even occasionally purchase) their products, but experiences like this make it really difficult to do so and difficult to continue to display them in my videos in good conscience because, what if someone watching my videos buys a bag from my unintentional "influence" and has a likewise horrible experience? I'd feel bad about it, even if it wasn't directly my "fault" and I haven't been paid or incentivized by the brand to try and sell more product. I was even toying with the idea of making a lot more style content, which would inevitably feature these bags front and center as the main brand of leather bag that I own...but now I'm even more mixed on that because I don't want to be associated too much with the brand or mistaken for a "Polene influencer"...and then I do also feel a bit of a fool for having supported this company that can't even take care of their paying customers. So yeah.
