Roland JX-8P Repair and Restoration - Part2
Part 2 of the Roland JX-8P Repair. In this video I inspect the display board, replace the lithium battery, discuss button replacement, and dive into the hardware that makes this synth work. Part 1: • Roland JX-8P Repair and Restoration - Part 1 Note for the replacement buttons. The original switches were made by Alps, part # 688-SKHCAA. These switches are long obsolete. Suitable replacements are either: Omron - Part # B3F-5050 E-Switch - Part # TL1100F160Q6JBLK I have purchased both of these switches in the past, but unfortunately don't remember which is the better replacement. Both are available from Mouser.
