Shelby's extraordinary season found its end once again at the hands of Steubenville - this time in the State Semis, 35-22. The first half saw a barrage of momentum shifts as the Whippets took a 22-21 lead into the break. The Big Red defense, however, became overwhelming while their offense made clutch plays in scoring three times on 4th down throughout the night. The Whippets' 13-1 season is the program's finest as well as first to ever reach a Final Four.
