AYO RAME-RAME PELIHARA AYAM! It's Kumaruyuk Kumara Kukuruyuk!

Hello everyone! After a long break from this Youtube channel, Kebun Kumara is back with a new series that invites friends to learn together and re-explore our understanding, awareness, and perspectives about sustainable living through behaviors, habits, and small steps that can bring nature into our daily lives. If previously we have discussed a lot about gardening and processing small food sources at home, this series will complement that knowledge by delving deeper into the aspects of small-scale chicken farming as a solution for healthy fresh food and wise organic waste management. Previously featured on Instagram, now we are also appearing on Youtube. Welcome to our latest series! In this episode, we discuss how permaculture principles inspire functional and sustainable space designs, one of which is through the Composting Chicken Coop (Kandang Ayam Kompos) at Kebun Kumara. This coop integrates chicken farming with composting kitchen waste and leaves, thus providing a solution to two problems at once: a healthy food source (eggs & meat) and organic waste management without the need for a landfill. Your kitchen waste becomes chicken feed. Chicken manure becomes compost. Everything is connected, everything is useful. Because in permaculture, there's no such thing as "waste," only unoptimized resources. Please subscribe if you enjoy our educational content about chickens to stay tuned for our next episodes.
