The driver who died yesterday morning (22), in a serious accident on BR-070, was identified as Cristiane Fernandes Salvi, 44 years old. She was driving the tanker truck that exploded after colliding with two other trucks at kilometer 511 of the Rodovia dos Imigrantes, in the municipality of Várzea Grande, metropolitan region of Cuiabá. Cristiane, born in December 1981, was the mother of three children, two of whom were adults and one a minor, aged 13. The collision involved the three cargo vehicles and caused an immediate explosion. The tanker truck driven by Cristiane was carrying fuel and was completely consumed by the flames, generating a dense column of dark smoke visible from various points in the metropolitan region.
