No Patient is an Island | Project Phoenix; exploring haemophilia care in the UK
Haemnet’s Project Phoenix sought to better understand the changes in care that could make a real and positive impact on the lives of people with bleeding disorders in the UK. This involved an online survey and a number of interviews and group discussions with people with bleeding disorders and their families. Bleeding disorders are usually inherited, affecting the lives of individuals and those around them. We heard that people with bleeding disorders and the people who live with and care for them value care that is family-focused. We also heard that they find it frustrating when their care doesn’t do enough to address the impact of a bleeding disorder on the family as a whole. Our ‘No patient is an island’ animation explains more. Find out more about Haemnet and what we do! www.haemnet.com
