In April 2026, I took my first trip to Kumamoto! I hope this will be helpful as a reference for a 2-night, 3-day driving route for those visiting Kumamoto for the first time. Starting from Amakusa, I traveled to Aso, crossing into Miyazaki Prefecture to visit Takachiho, the land of myths, a place I'd always wanted to see. In Amakusa, I enjoyed incredibly fresh and delicious seafood. In Takachiho, I immersed myself in the world of mythology, refreshing my mind and body. In Aso, I relaxed in a hotel with an open-air bath, enjoying hot springs and delicious food. Kumamoto is such a fun and delicious place! I wish I had gone sooner...
