Restored 1969 Ford Escort Mk1 riding on wide Ensures

This week, we're in the capital City of KwaZulu-Natal - Pietermaritzburg and we've got a beautifully restored 1969 Ford Escort Mk1. Gavin Chetty - a fruit and veg trader by day and enthusiast car builder by night, sat down with us to spill the details on his "backyard build". Gavin got his hands on a forgotten drag car with a Toyota 4age power and 21R Cressida gearbox linked to an Alpha diff. Most importantly, it was riding on a set of Ensure wheels. He decided to strip the entire car and rebuild them around the wheels. But the cherry on top of this, well cherry, is Gavin's decision to keep with the times and turn the 4AGE into a Carbureted fueling system and strapped a set of Weber 45's to it.
