Around 6 p.m., a large fire broke out on the festival grounds. Around one hundred firefighters responded to the scene to extinguish the fire. It's still unclear how the fire started, but one thing is certain: the festival will go ahead, but without the main stage. Tomorrowland's main stage is its crown jewel. Every year, the stage, which reflects the festival's theme of "the world of Orbyz," is eagerly anticipated. The creative team began designing the stage and its theme back in 2023. This year's stage was 45 meters high and 160 meters wide, and featured 2,120 atmospheric elements, including 65 water fountains and two waterfalls. To achieve this, a variety of materials are used: 2,616 cubic meters of polystyrene 2,278 sheets of plywood 2,460 cans of insulating polyurethane foam 1,440 tubes of sealant 225 liters of wood glue 108 buckets of modeling paste After the Belgian edition of the festival, the set was previously packed up and shipped to Brazil so it could be reused for Tomorrowland Brazil.
