Portaging and more portaging: 17 day solo canoe trip, August 2013, Part 2
In Part 2, I am into some of the gloomiest weather of the trip, and numerous portages. Pt 2 is a little boring, but I have to go through this area to really get back "inside" into the beautiful Savant Lake and River systems. I fall into the "portage trap", where I cannot find a campsite, and have to keep going on more portages until I can find one. Its wet and I am still cooking on stove, but in the next parts of the series I will be showing much more open fire cooking, which is how I prefer to cook and travel. Part 2 of my 17-day solo canoe trip in northwestern Ontario boreal forest back country, August 2013. Many more parts to come on this voyage of paddling, portaging and camping. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for watching. Link to part 1 here: • Starting the solo canoe trip - 17 day solo... Link to Part 3 here: • Into Savant Lake: 17 day solo canoe trip, ...
