Australorp Kümesinde Kan Değişimi Zamanı

It's time for a blood exchange in our Australorp breeding pen. We wanted to document this year's process, which we do almost every year. It's important to frequently introduce new blood into the flock to prevent the new breeds from developing deformities. In poultry bred from the same bloodline, visual deformities begin to appear after a few generations. Prolonged sibling matings can cause the new offspring to deteriorate. This deterioration can be minimal in some breeds and more pronounced in others. The Australorp is also prone to rapid deterioration after sibling matings. Therefore, to perform various crossbreedings and maintain the visual beauty of the lineage, we raise chicks or eggs from different Australorp pens, raise them, and use them as broodstock in our pen. This year's flock arrived from Isparta. By mixing these flocks with our own flocks, we will ensure the blood exchange. In this video, we incubated the Australorp eggs, which were a gift from my brothers Mehmet Nuri Erşahin and Türker Aygündüz, under our Guinea hens and waited for the hatching process. We moved the hatched chicks into a separate coop with our own chicks and began raising them. Throughout this process, we provided various information and demonstrated practical applications. You can ask us any questions you may have about this topic and contact us through the comments section. Enjoy!
