Izando un Genaker por sotavento del Genova. [Escola Port]

Saturday, February 24, 2018. Departure from the Escola Port Sailing Club. Sunny, cold, and a 7-knot wind. We practiced raising the gennaker to leeward of the genoa. We performed the maneuver slowly so that all the steps could be seen: attaching the halyard clew to the spinnaker halyard, the clew to the gennaker sheet, and the tack clew to the bow of the boat. Note that the tack clew has a height adjustment mechanism that allows it to be raised and lowered. As you know, both clews, the main sheet and the tack clew, must be at the same height relative to the waterline.
