Heljan's new OO gauge Class 02 locomotive model brings to life the diminutive 0-4-0 diesel-hydraulic shunters that served British Railways and industrial sites from the 1960s onward. Designed for navigating tight curves in docks and yards, these locomotives were valued for their compact size and versatility.​ Key Features: Construction: The model boasts a diecast chassis with a plastic body, ensuring both weight and durability. Weighing approximately 122 grams, it offers stable track performance. ​ Detailing: Factory-fitted components include separate handrails, etched radiator grilles, exhausts, fuel tank caps, and lamp irons. The cab features painted interior details, and the model is equipped with window wipers and glazing for added realism. ​ Mechanical Aspects: It features a 5-pole motor with flywheel, providing smooth and quiet operation. All-wheel pickup and drive enhance reliability, and the model is compatible with Radius 1 curves. ​ Electrical Features: DCC-ready with an 18-pin socket, it supports directional headlights, tail lights, and cab lighting.
