Every Iceland Volcano Eruption Since 2021 | Epic Drone & Camera Footage

Between 2021 and 2025, Iceland experienced an extraordinary series of volcanic eruptions on the Reykjanes Peninsula. In this short cinematic film, I share footage captured from every single eruption during this historic volcanic cycle. This compilation includes drone and ground footage from the eruptions at Fagradalsfjall (2021), Meradalir (2022), Litli-Hrútur (2023), and the Sundhnúkur eruption series near Grindavík (2023–2025). Filming these eruptions over several years has been one of the most incredible photography experiences of my life. From rivers of glowing lava to powerful fissure eruptions tearing open the earth, these moments reveal the raw geological forces shaping Iceland's landscape in real time. All footage in this video was captured during the eruptions on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland using both Canon cameras and DJI drones. If you enjoy volcanic landscapes, extreme nature photography, and aerial footage of active volcanoes, this video offers a unique look at one of the most remarkable volcanic periods in modern Icelandic history. 📍 Learn more about my photography and workshops: https://jvn.photo 📷 Join a future Iceland photo workshop: https://jvn.photo/workshops/ Video & Editing: Jeroen Van Nieuwenhove (JVN Photography) Music: Ryan Taubert - Zero (licensed via Musicbed) Jeroen is an award-winning Belgian photographer based in Iceland.
