A 140-year-old theme park still going strong
In some ways, Lagoon, which first opened on July 15, 1886, as a resort on the shores of the Great Salt Lake, has undergone constant change in its 140 years. It’s moved locations and briefly closed its doors during World War II. A 1953 fire burned through much of the park. And each season since, a new ride or attraction has been added to the grounds. Utahns are still drawn to the coasters cresting on the Davis County skyline each summer. Reporting: Palak Jayswal Video: Abigail Landwehr
