I mixed calls louder than I did in Toad Song Sanctuary because I’m hoping this album may be a fun tool for species identification. Many tracks modulate calls with reverb, echo, and/or delay effects. Tracks 1 and 5 reverse some of the vocalization recordings, but only after the call is heard forward so listeners can still identify the species. To be consistent, I used species names for the song titles instead of subspecies names (e.g., “American Toad” instead of “Eastern American Toad”).
