PROJECT SEARCH
HWDSB is excited to welcome a new opportunity with Project SEARCH, a unique, one-year, transition-to-work program for young people with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Launched in 1996 at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Centre, its goal is to prepare students for employment with job skills training, through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on career training. This program takes place entirely at the workplace. HWDSB students and families are invited to learn more about Project SEARCH at the Project Search Virtual Information Night. It is a great chance to learn how youth with disabilities can become involved in this unique transition to work internship program for the 2020-2021 school year!
