In my work supporting children, I often notice that many children use their bodies and mouths in ways that seem underdeveloped from a developmental perspective. This often forces me to think about the development of today's children, and for seven years I have been researching how development is related to the oral cavity. My two sons are in what's known as the "gray zone."
