Ahmed Gul is considered to be one of the most famous Pashto Singer/artists. Ahmed Gul has been given the title of Ustad in Pashto music and ghazal after Khayal Mohammad. He started his artistic career with Radio Pakistan and recorded dozens of ghazals which later became famous all over the world. Ahmed Gul Ustad has recorded hundreds of songs for Radio as well as Pakistan Television Peshawar Center. He said that he has recorded 64 Thousand songs in his 60-year artistic journey. Ahmed Gul has sung hundreds of ghazals of modern Pashto poets besides the classic Pashto poets like Rehman Baba, Hameed Baba, Khushal Khan Khattak and Hamza Baba which have gained immense fame all over the world and especially in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The Government of Pakistan has awarded him the Medal of Distinction (Tamgha E Imtiaz) for his outstanding performance. Ahmed Gul is now 73 years old but he is still associated with his art and even in this modern age of music he has millions of fans.
