NTV650 USD FORKS Don't believe all you read on the internet

Fitting up side down CBR1000RR forks on to an NTV650, after reading on a forum that they would fit, then mistakes were made. We got there in the end, at first it seemed like the yokes would just fit straight on, same threads and bearings, but then to my horror found the stem was 19mm too short. To keep the bike on a budget I opted to cut and lengthen the stem, before checking the stem material closely I machined a steel insert. Then after realising the stem was alloy, had to repeat the machining process out of alloy, before threading and screwing it all together before TIG welding.
