Building a Hatz Classic - Wing Ribs (part 2)
We finish the first wing rib on our Hatz Classic build! This is the very first completed part for our project plane; one of 32 "ribs" that make up the substructure of the four biplane wings. The ribs and spars are all made of aircraft-grade sitka spruce wood, held together by plywood gussets and structural epoxy. This method of construction is lightweight and strong! Hope you are enjoying these videos, which are a bit different than our usual adventure vlogs. We hope watching this series will inspire you to learn more about building an aircraft from scratch, and perhaps give you a boost to start your own project.
