The MOVA LidaX Ultra takes a completely different approach than many current robotic lawn mowers on the market. Instead of relying on GPS-RTK or a boundary wire, this robotic mower uses a combination of 360° 3D LiDAR, a camera, and artificial intelligence. The manufacturer calls this technology UltraView 2.0 and promises centimeter-accurate navigation – completely without an RTK antenna or boundary wire. In this video, we'll take a close look at the mower. I'll show you the unboxing of the MOVA LidaX Ultra, go into detail about the scope of delivery, hardware, functions, and technical specifications, and explain how the navigation system with LiDAR and AI vision works. We'll also take a look at the UltraTrim 1.0 system, which allows the cutting disc to extend laterally to get significantly closer to walls, fences, or lawn edges when trimming edges. This is precisely one of the biggest weaknesses of many robotic mowers – MOVA aims to solve this problem with a movable cutting disc. In addition to navigation and edge trimming, we'll also look at other important features: obstacle detection with camera and AI, the Floating Cutting System, cutting width and height settings, terrain capability, and the app functions with zone management, dual mapping, and individual mowing schedules.
