Skandal londyńskiej Parady Zwycięstwa 1946. Dlaczego zabrakło Polaków?

On June 8, 1946, London celebrated the victory over the Third Reich. Americans, Canadians, Australians, French, Indians, Brazilians, and soldiers from Africa and the Middle East marched through the city streets. It was one of the largest military parades of the 20th century. However, those who had defended the skies over England five years earlier were absent. The conquerors of Monte Cassino, the soldiers of Maczek, Anders, and Sosabowski were absent. There were no Poles. Why did the country that fought Hitler from the first to the last day of the war not find a place in the Victory Parade? Did the British betray their Polish allies? Or was the truth much more complicated? In this episode, we travel the route of the famous London parade, analyzing documents, participants' memories, and the behind-the-scenes political decisions that led to one of the most controversial situations in post-war Polish history.
