RealFlightOps NSZ1822 ENGM-LPFR • Oslo–Faro | A Turbulent Journey to the Algarve!
RealFlightOps - operating flight NSZ1822 from Oslo Gardermoen (ENGM) to Faro Airport (LPFR) Welcome aboard the Norwegian Boeing 737-800 for today's journey from Norway to Portugal's Algarve coast. Departing Runway 19R from Oslo, I invite you to join me in the cockpit as we head south through a sky dominated by towering summer cloud formations. From the very beginning of the flight, the atmosphere is alive with turbulence, thermals, and constant movement, keeping both the aircraft and its wings busy as we cross Scandinavia. The route takes us past Torp, across the North Sea, over southern England, and onward toward the Atlantic coast of Europe, with spectacular cloudscapes accompanying us for much of the journey. As the flight continues south, conditions gradually improve after entering Spanish airspace, allowing us to enjoy beautiful views of the northern Spanish coastline and the landscapes below. Following the arrival using official Jeppesen charts, I guide the aircraft into southern Portugal for an approach to Runway 28 at Faro. Just when the ride seems settled, the winds return to remind us that the day is not quite finished. Passing over the stunning Ria Formosa Natural Park, the Algarve coastline unfolds beneath us before a satisfying arrival at one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. From Norway's summer skies to Portugal's golden coast, this flight showcases just how dynamic a seemingly routine journey can become.
