Masterclass Arms and Armour with Dr Tobias Capwell
Led by curator of Arms and Armour at The Wallace Collection, Tobias Capwell, our latest Masterclass delves into some of the highlights of the Wallace's important collection armour. Tobias discusses how these 'hollow sculptures' are decorative works of art, with generations of stylistic development - sometimes forfeiting function over fashion. Tobias also talks about how collectors in the 19th Century created composite suits out of armour from many different periods, materials and places.
