This is the third video in a five part series addressing the relatively straightforward job of replacing the Intermediate Shaft Bearing (IMS) and Rear Main Seal (RMS) on a 986 Porsche Boxster. While replacing those two items is straightforward, actually getting to them is a different matter . . . In this third video I remove the dual-mass flywheel and show how much slop there is in it and lock down the crank and cams to ensure the timing isn't affected while changing the IMS.
