🚨 The unfiltered reality of the streets of Pernambuco! 🚨 More than 100 families approached our news team this Tuesday to denounce what they describe as an attempt to lose the land where they live in Carpina, in the Zona da Mata Norte region of Pernambuco. According to the residents, the area was ceded by the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) through a decision by the Federal Court, after years of struggle for the regularization of the occupation. According to the residents, members of the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) are trying to take over the area, which has generated fear and insecurity among the families. They affirm that they have already won the right to remain on the site and defend that the judicial decision be respected. During the report, the residents appealed to the Federal Court and other competent bodies to guarantee possession of the area and preserve the rights of the beneficiary families.
