Amidst the rise of new, technologically advanced motorcycles, some people remain loyal to their old ones. Now, the trend of vintage motorcycles is making a comeback and is gaining momentum amidst the emergence of new models. It's no surprise that many reconditioned and restored vintage motorcycles are popping up. Reconditioning old motorcycles is not easy, as parts are becoming scarce on the market. However, despite all the challenges, restoration and reconditioning efforts are still undertaken to return the motorcycle to its original factory condition. One such project is the restoration of a 1991 Honda Astrea Prima Limited Edition, recently completed by Dana Brata Fitriawan Kusuma, owner of the 'Bebek Restorasi' workshop. It wasn't easy and required a lengthy process for the workshop, located on Jalan Gesikan Km 7.5, Cokrokonteng, Sidoarum, Godean, to complete the restoration of the motorcycle belonging to UNY Public Relations Officer, R. Dedy Herdito, M.M. Besides the increasingly scarce spare parts, the Honda Astrea Prima Limited Edition, which was only available from July to October 1991, has several differences compared to other models. Therefore, Dana needs to put in extra effort to find the necessary spare parts, especially if the owner wants a complete restoration.
