本作品は、国立映画アーカイブが所蔵する文化・記録映画など映画作品を配信するWEBサイト「フィルムは記録する ―国立映画アーカイブ歴史映像ポータル―」https://filmisadocument.jp（制作：国立映画アーカイブ、国立情報学研究所）の公開作品です。 『鹿島槍ヶ岳と下廊下』 (カシマヤリガタケトシモノロウカ、1930年) 文部省 24分, 白黒, サイレント 登山家の冠松次郎を指導者として文部省で製作された山岳記録映画の1本。1930年8月に行われた、北アルプス（飛騨山脈）の北部、黒部川東側に連なる後立山連峰で富山県と長野県にまたがる鹿島槍ヶ岳の東尾根の登攀と、黒部川の下廊下（下ノ廊下）の探訪を綴ってゆく。山岳撮影で経験を積んでいた白井茂のカメラは本作でも冴えており、壮大で美しくまた過酷でもある大自然とその中を進む登山隊の活動を見事にフィルムに収めている。川の対岸まで綱を張って即席の籠を作って人を渡す「籠渡し」の場面はひとつの見どころだろう。 「フィルムは記録する ―国立映画アーカイブ歴史映像ポータル―」では、1915年から1938年までの間に製作された作品を中心に45作品を新たに公開します。今回は、官民で製作された多彩な教育映画のほか、大正天皇即位にかかわる貴重なフィルムや国内外の様々な出来事や風物を伝える作品を集めました。国立映画アーカイブでは、今後も随時公開作品を増やしていく予定です。ぜひサイトをお訪ねください。 ---------------------------------------------------- This is one of the films featured on the website “Film IS a Document: NFAJ Historic Film Portal” (a joint project of the National Film Archive of Japan and the National Institute of Informatics) which streams a selection of titles from the NFAJ film collection with initial focus on cultural and documentary films. The sixth edition of this site presents 45 additional titles covering mainly the years from 1915 to 1938. The selection includes a variety of educational films produced by the public and private sectors, while valuable footage related to the enthronement of Emperor Taisho and films that convey various events, scenery and customs both in Japan and abroad.
